- An Attic Troll

Riihipeikko Costumes are made
in Järvenpää,
at Tiinas own home.
Over a decade they have spread joyous
spirit all over the world by little figures
that hang on every single costume
that
leaves the home of the Finnish Artisan.
Imaginary, "trolly" figures create the feeling
that you carry a secret within your pocket;
or the funny nick-nacks can jump on the brim
of your hat or just stay close to you,
neatly stitched on your dress.
The Riihipeikko style, rich in creativity
yet practical, easy-to-care yet adorable.
Every piece of these clothes has some
exiting tale within. Dresses, trousers, coats
and hats might easily be seen
on friendly
trolls or on old teddy bears as well as on
little ladies and lords who rule our homes.
Costumes are uniquely made or
produced in small series.
But ever-never leaves a dress Tiinas
hands without a wistful glance from her:
a little touch here and little pat there - go
